Mit Cypripedium Chauncey präsentieren wir eine sehr standfeste und robuste Hybride, deren kräftige Stängel und Blätter selbst bei starkem Regen oder Wind aufrecht bleiben. In dieser Hinsicht ist sie Ventricosum und Ventricosum Pastell ebenbürtig. Je nach Pflanze ist die Aderung der Blüte mehr oder weniger stark ausgeprägt.
Eine kompakt wachsende Kreuzung für den Vordergrund im Orchideenbeet.

Chauncey pleases due to its attractive appearance with long, twisted petals. The dainty flowers are rich in colour contrasts. Due to a special selection of the mother plants, many of our seedlings display a red spotted lip as a special feature. Similar looking hybrids are Emil and Hank Small.

Also, this hybrid is completely hardy and does not need any extra winter protection in the garden.
